All donations go to Seed Funding for our Microbiome Center pilot projects. Several projects focus on the role the microbiome plays in the health of coastal species. Other projects focus on the importance of microbes to both humans and the environment. Video and images shown here are featured in a recent MBL article: "On Giant Seaweed, an Intimately Packed Microbiome", describing the colorful results of an imaging study of the kelp microbiome.
