What: The Microbiome Center Multi 'Omics Workshop 2023

When: February 15th 12-4pm

Where: The David Rubenstein Forum Room 601 with a virtual option

Why: To build a strong knowledge base of 'omics technologies for the UChicago community

How:

1. Join the workshop Discord channel (https://discord.gg/te7qnrWsDs). 

2. Register for the workshop. Find the workshop registration form in the Discord Forum post entitled "Workshop Registration." There you will find information on how to get the workshop password which you will enter into the registration form. Please note that we will use this channel to communicate during the workshop.

3. Have a basic knowledge of BASH (working on the command line). To register for the course, you will need to find the course password using basic BASH skills in the file attached to the Discord Forum "Workshop Registration." If this is your first time using the command line, we recommend the following tutorial: https://astrobiomike.github.io/unix/unix-intro

4. Install anvi'o. You must have a working installation of anvi’o on your computer (https://anvio.org/install/). We will not have time during the workshop to help with installation issues. For installation help, see the information about our pre-workshop office hours in the left side panel.
