Since 2011, the Center for Research Informatics has provided the University of Chicago Biological Sciences Division (BSD) with informatics resources, services, and expertise to enable world-class research.

We offer state-of-the-art technologies for working with research data—from acquisition and storage to analysis and sharing. Our resources are secure, standards-compliant, and open to all members of the BSD. We collaborate with scientists through all stages of their projects, handling clinical, translational, and basic science data with the highest level of efficiency and security.

We contribute to the future of informatics research by creating easily-accessible opportunities for training and education. We are proud to work with the Institute for Translational Medicine and other strategic partners on joint initiatives and to act as strong advocates for informatics within our research communities. We’ve expanded our work beyond the BSD with contributions to high-impact, multi-institutional projects.

From secure computing resources to clinical data to bioinformatics analysis, our work contributes to the forefront of informatics and health care innovation. We hope you’ll take a look around, learn more about what we do, and consider making the CRI your research partner. If you have any questions or want to talk more about a project, whether it’s BSD research or an outside initiative, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
