REMINDER: DFI Multidisciplinary Grant

Purpose: The Duchossois Family Institute (DFI) invites grant applications from UChicago laboratory investigators focusing on mechanisms by which the microbiome and immune system enhance or reduce disease resistance paired with clinical investigators focusing on the impact of the microbiome and/or the immune system on clinical outcomes in patients receiving care at the University of Chicago.

Eligibility: Applicants must hold a faculty appointment at the level of Instructor or higher.

Available Funding: The DFI Multidisciplinary Grant can have an annual budget up to $250,000 that will be split between two Principal Investigators to support the translation of laboratory discoveries into new diagnostic platforms or therapies in the clinic, or laboratory investigation of clinical events or processes that would benefit from laboratory and/or animal studies. DFIMultidisciplinary Grants will be renewable for a second year pending review of the first year’s accomplishments.
